Sub plates are the easiest mounting system. Placing a sub plate on any flat 4×4 inch square area of the boat. These plates are generally mounted to flat spots on the gunnel of the boat or the trolling motor deck. Mounting subplates on either side of the boat will allow the main baseplate assembly to be used in multiple locations depending on current wind and structure locations.
